Hello aunty,

I am a 26 year old lady. I live with my mother who is 45 years old. My father  does not live with us. My cousin brother lives with us from his childhood.

He is of my age. We all are very open and frank with each other. Me and my cousin live like boyfriend and girlfriend. My mother also likes my cousin. He is very sexy by nature and he also seduces me and my mother. We both like it.

My mother wants that I should marry him. Should I agree to her wishes, because she fears that an unkonw man can distrub my life as well as hers.

It is not clear what type of relation your cousin shares with your mother. Is it sexual in nature or just flirting? You say you and your cousin are in a relationship. Is there sex between you and your cousin? What relation is the cousin? Is he working and providing means of livelihood for you and your mother?

Sorry, I have so many questions. But unless I know more, I can only give a general answer. If your mother likes your cousin in a non-sexual way, it is great for you to marry him. But if there is anything deeper ( “he seduces me and my mother” ), then you will need to re-think. You do not want to share your husband.

What is your cousin’s take on this? Is he willing to marry you and stay with his aunt for the rest of his life? You will also need to take into account the blood relationship, as marrying in close proximity can lead to birth defects. This can be ruled out with medical profiling and matching genes etc. A visit to the doctor will ease this tension.

Give me more feedback, and I shall reply better
