I need advice on how to proceed with this one girl from my college. Please.

Hello boys! So I have a huge crush on a girl from my college (she is in a different department though). I met her in a club work about 5 months ago. We spoke about the club and slowly became friends. After the initial month, we used to talk on calls for like 45 mins min frequently for the next few weeks. I started to like her seriously. It’s my serious crush for the first time in my life.

She gives me mixed signals. She is a very very very bad texter (replies late, but puts effort in the messages). She herself told me she doesn’t like texting as it’s a good base for misunderstandings and because of this she lost many of her friends. So she prefer calls.

I have also asked if we can hangout for twice at a nearby ice-cream parlor, but both the times she wasn’t able to make it due to valid reasons (surprise tests and some busy schedule). She keeps on saying “I am lazy” and laughs.

We haven’t met or spoke much in person. But we have spoke for hours on call. She sometimes teases me funnily, calls me a nerd (lol in a playful manner). When I ask her to hangout, she says she is ready and definitely interested. But when the day comes, she is flaking (with valid reasons). IDK what is going on in her mind.

A few things about her:

She doesn’t have a lot of friends

very few male friends (only 1 that I know and he is not interested in her, so he is ruled out)

She is a nerd, focuses on studies

Participates in academic related events (again, pretty much a nerd)

She is cute and IDK but she changes her whatsApp pfp frequently (once a week)

She even told me i have a deep voice

And from my side, sometimes I have appeared needy (initiating convos, replying 3 lines when she replies with 1 line, flirting (appreciating her accent of a language which she is learning)

Once not long ago, I asked her if we can hangout at the ice cream shop, she said she might be busy that week and I finished the call with “The ball is in your court” then after 4 days she even called me but I was actually busy in an event so didn’t pick up, I called her later and she said “Just wanted to talk”

after that the out communication died because she goy busy in a hackathon.

All fine, but here is one thing: She initiates conversations very very rarely. She only does when i am talking for a week, if not she never does it.

This thing is going on in my mind 24×7 for the past 4 months. Help me out guys!
