Are we both sex Addicts?
ReportPlease briefly explain why you feel this question should be reported.
I am 31 years old and my wife is 20 years. We have just been married since last 2 months.
Ours was a love marriage. From the time we got married , we have been having sex multiple times in a day. Many times even 4-5 times a day. We just can’t keep our hands off each other. Its like both of us are always starving for sex. We have lots of sex.
In spite of our age difference, we enjoy sex and love each other a lot. We both are addicted and attracted to each other’s bodies.
Are we over doing it? Are we both sex addicts? Should we reduce our sexual activities?
We want to enjoy sex for 2 years and then think of pregnancy. Presently we enjoy Sex without condom, as we feel it snatches away real pleasure. We have taken infertility injection and the effect of this lasts for 3 months.
Friends have advised to insert copper-T. Please advise should we insert copper- T or go for another round of injections? We had two different opinions from two different Gynaecs.

Please briefly explain why you feel this answer should be reported.
As always, I am answering your questions from the point of view of my profession or the medical world.
Are you sex addicts?
To answer this let me tell you whom do we term as an sexual addicted person.
A person with sexual addiction is obsessed with sex or has an abnormally intense sex drive. Their thoughts are dominated by sexual activity, to the point where this affects other activities and interactions. If these urges become uncontrollable, the person can have difficulty functioning in social situations.
So if both of your sexual drive is causing you trouble to perform your day to day activities normally, then yes you are over doing it. It may even be an addiction if so.
Now about the infertility injections. Please do remember that the birth control shot contains a long acting form of the hormone progestin. On an average about 6 out of 100 typical couples who use the birth control shot will have an accidental pregnancy. In general, how well each type of birth control method works depends on a lot of things. These include whether a person has any health conditions or is taking any medicines that might affect its use. It also depends on whether the method is convenient and whether the person remembers to use it correctly all of the time.
Many studies have inked this shot to a loss of bone density in women, although bone density may recover when a woman is no longer getting the shot. The loss of bone density seems to be worse when the shot is used for longer periods of time.
Another dangerous risk is STD’s.The birth control shot does not protect against STDs. In fact, some studies show that the birth control shot may possibly increase the risk of getting certain STDs, although scientists do not understand why.
Please remember : Couples having sex must always use condoms along with the shot to protect against STDs.
Now to the use of copper T : With a remarkably low failure rate of less than 1 per 100 women in the first year of use, the Copper is in the top tier of contraceptives in terms of efficacy. But as with any birth control method, Copper T may have some side effects which vary from patient to patient.
There are some cases where you should not get the IUD, for instance:
– If you’re pregnant or think you might be pregnant.
– If you have any uterine abnormalities that would make it hard for the IUD to stay in place (your doctor can check for this).
– If you have acute pelvic inflammatory disease (PID) or a history of PID.
– If you have any unexplained genital or uterine bleeding.
– If you’ve had postpartum endometritis or an infected abortion in the past three months.
– If you have severe liver disease.
– If you have breast cancer or a history of breast cancer, you should not get the hormonal IUD, but your doctor might suggest the copper IUD.
– If you have any untreated pelvic infections (like chlamydia) or are prone to pelvic infections, you may not be a good candidate for either IUD. Talk to your doctor about this history before getting an IUD.
– If you have Wilson’s disease (a rare disorder where copper can accumulate in the body) you cannot get the copper IUD.
This is not an exhaustive list, so make sure to go over a detailed medical history with your doctor before deciding on the IUD.
Even with such a big list, copper T is the best method to stop pregnancy with us used by millions of women world wide
I hope my study helps
Happy Copper T-ing
