I am 30 years from Delhi. I will be going for a trip to Goa with my hubby and friends. I never wore sleeveless and short dresses before.

How can I face everyone wearing a small bikini bought by my husband.

I am confused. What to do? Please guide.

It is a myth that Goa is a land of nudity and blatant sex. There are a few pockets, which are inhabited by foreigners, who do sport bras and bikinis, but in general you will find that most Indians are decently dressed.

Since you are on the beach, it is just fine to wear a bathing costume, which will cover your midriff. I presume that this is the first time you are going to Goa, so your husband presumes that everyone there will be in bikinis. Swimming after sunset is prohibited and the Coast Guards will ensure that, so if you are thinking you can go in the water after dark, that is not possible.

Always wear something that you are comfortable in. If you have never worn a bikini to a swimming pool, you would feel very odd to wear on on a public beach. Of course, since your husband fantasizes seeing you in one, you can always wear it for him, in the hotel room.

You have mentioned in a comment, that you are conscious of your dark, hairy armpits. Many men love that, so no need to feel shy. But commonsense would dictate that you shave your armpits, before you wear sleeveless dresses. I am sure the women who are accompanying you, will have the same doubts.

Enjoy the holiday. Do what you are comfortable with. You are not going there to do a striptease and become a laughing stock.
