    Like sex, masturbation is a taboo subject and many people are totally squeamish about it. But masturbation is a normal and healthy part of adult sexual behaviour. There are a bunch of health-related benefits of masturbation right from the release of feel-good hormones that help with sleep and reduce stress to a way of learning more about your body. Now the question haunting you is how much masturbation is ‘too much’? If one masturbates every single day, does that mean one is a compulsive masturbator? What separates compulsive behaviour from a healthy habit is when the behaviour becomes excessive and obsessive without which withdrawal symptoms appear. It can be compulsive if it is taking a lot of your time and energy, if your personal or work life is suffering because of masturbation, and if you are constantly thinking about masturbation, or even masturbating when you do not want to.
