While I understand the urgency of the sexual need in your body, having sex with anyone who’s sexual health status and sexual practices are unknown carries significant amount of risk. While a condom may prevent a sexual disease transmitted through intercourse, there are other areas in a sexually infected human body that carry a chance of infection. For example, genital warts, herpes on the skin near the vagina that can get transmitted through skin-to-skin contact.

It’s natural to have a faint odor in the intimate areas. Any unpleasant, overpowering, or strange smell could be a sign that something is wrong and you should have it looked at. Some basic hygiene measures can aid in getting rid of any odor that may have developed there as a result of sweat buildup. Wear loose, flowing pants instead of too-tight clothing like narrow jeans, and wear underwear made of natural materials like cotton. Other strategies to keep the area odor-free include utilizing natural intimate wipes, cotton panty liners, and a nice trim of pubic hair (don’t get any skin cuts).
