I’m in a dilemma nowadays. It is disturbing me so much that I am not able to do my household chores properly like wasing, cleaning, sweeping etc……. Recently I was washing my terrace which was full of dust and due to convenience purpose I had tucked my saree up and was just concentaring on my work, but suddenly I saw a shocking scene, my neighborhood guy was clicking pictures of my barelegs by standing down with a lot of ease.

I immediately pulled my saree down and scolded him after which he ran away. Ever since that day he has been following me around with his mobile whenever I do some chores and when I ask his why he is following me he is telling that he is hearing music but I’m sure that he’s spying me.

I’m afraid to tuck my saree up while working and I’m not feeling comfortable sweeping as well. What do I do?

I don’t understand why you’re asking us for some help or suggestions when you can directly tell this to your husband or your family members to get a suitable solution. Anyways I presume your earlier riddle with your father-in-law has ended.

As for this, all you need to do is report this incident to your husband and he would make sure that, that pervert would run away and wouldn’t dare to come back to you ever again. Its such a shame that perverts like the one you encountered are using the technology for these wrong purposes. In this case, don’t think of anything and report this matter to your household ASAP. They might not just punish him, but they might report of this guy’s deeds to your colony members. You got no wrong on your side here and you’re the victim, so don’t hold back.

On a completely different note, why don’t you try some other clothing while working? Sarees surely are convenient but so are salwars and kurta pyjamas, so give them a try; they might not reveal much. We live in a country where women’s freedom doesn’t come so easily so there is no harm in adjusting a bit to not go in harms way.

You seem to be enjoying the attention rather than the embarrassment. For some reason I feel you have fuelled the passion in your neighbour. What prevents you from reporting his behaviour to his family or at least your own family. You could be wrong though and he may be innocently listening to his music.

You will need to nip this unwanted attention right in the bud. You can start by having the curtains pulled when you are doing house hold chores. Am sure you can close the door and pull up your saree then. Or you can change your timings to do your house cleansing when you notice that he is not at home. Or if you still dont have the courage to report the matter, simply change from saree to a gown etc that you will feel comfortable with and need not lift up.
