I am posting this question on behalf of my uncle”I am 64 years old. For the first time, after consulting my heart surgeon, I took Caverta 25 mg and got the desired erection. But despite this, I failed to ejaculate during sex. This is worrisome and frustrating. Please advise.”

Your heart surgeon has prescribed a drug called Caverta 25 specifically for your erection issue. He had to have prescribed it after properly evaluating your cardiac state, I’m sure. It facilitates longer-lasting erection maintenance. It is not, however, required to assist you with your “ejaculation issue.” This medication’s only impact is to help you maintain an erection. Your incapacity to ejaculate is a different issue. ‘Retarded ejaculation’ is the term for it. It requires an other approach. Given your age (64), it’s likely that you’re taking medicine for prostate enlargement, which can lead to urinary issues—a frequent side effect at this age. It is well known that certain medications used to treat prostate enlargement might make it difficult to ejaculate. Additionally, delayed ejaculation is a side effect of several medications (SSRIs) used to treat depression and anxiety. It is recommended that you directly seek the advice of a qualified sexologist to examine and address your Retarded ejaculation issue. Readers should be advised that the medication stated in this question should never be taken without first consulting a licensed healthcare provider. It is also only available with a prescription.
