Hi Anjali,
I am a 22 year unmarried guy; I work in a good company and earn well. The problem is that, I love a divorced lady of 26 and she has a daughter pof 6yrs. I truly love her and want to get married to her but I fear that my parents won’t be ready for this.
She is really sweet, caring and I am ready to accept her daughter also. Please suggest me a way where I can convince my parents for this?

ou are too young to take such an enormous decision, yes its your life & you have every right to live it the way you want. In India marriage is just not a relationship between two people but its more importantly between two families & through them extended families.
In reality you are in for a big storm, & will have to invest lot of effort & time to convince your parents. You can try by getting your friend & her daughter to meet your parents in a very casual way, then get them into the family & friends circle slowly, allow your parents to be comfortable with the lady & her daughter before you break the news, then you will have to use all your convincing powers persistently for a long period & get married else you may just give a ultimatum & carry on & hope that over a period of time you can mend the ties with your family. Choice is yours but frankly wait for a few more years before you take this decision.
